Aside from sadness instigated by abstinence from food, one of the triggers of nostalgia that I hit me the most comes from TV shows ending, and that will never be aired again.
Revenge, Limitless (inexplicably lasting one season only), Gossip Girl and Mad Men.
From Mad Men I adored many things: the creative world of advertising, the fabulous sixties, the contrast between the most emancipated women and the women who retained a more traditional role, Joan Holloway’s tits and hair, and, of course, Don Draper questionable take on relationship and morals.
Seven seasons, ending two years ago, leaving a trap of intriguing stories, many inspirations for fashion and style and a retro mood that I occasionally like to look for and recreate because obviously the sixties are fascinating and I feel like I was born in the wrong era.
